Three of our district’s volunteer firefighters, Mike Williams, Matt Sampley, and Bruce Appling, attended our last business meeting to formally thank Auxiliary volunteers for a grant to purchase a compressor to safely recharge firefighters’ self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with purified air. Those of us in attendance were touched that they took the time to thank us and to demonstrate the effectiveness of their gear.
We thank everyone who attends our fundraising events, purchases our raffle tickets, and otherwise donates money, goods, time, or talent. Safeguarding and supporting our community’s brave and selfless volunteer first responders is a worthy calling.
Please, attend our upcoming Flea Market-BBQ-Silent Auction-Raffle Ticket Drawing on Saturday, June 24th. There will also be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets this Saturday afternoon before 2 p.m. (June 17th – the day before Father’s Day) at Snappy’s Sports Senter.
