Regretfully, Marion Freedom Day (our community’s 4th of July parade-carnival-BBQ that our fire department hosts) is cancelled. A majority of the Marion Fire District’s Board of Directors decided to cancel the event, because of COVID-19. Hopefully, conditions will improve enough that we will have the event next year. We will still draw raffle winners’ tickets on July 4th, but the event will not be open to the public.
