
PARADE: The parade includes fire trucks, lights and sirens, ambulance, and many surprises. The emergency vehicles will throw candy for the children.
Free parking, of course!
GAMES: Giant board games include Connect4, checkers, Jenga and Yahtzee. These are fun for all ages! How good is your aim? Get right on over to the dunk tank!
Watermelon eating contest is open to children of all ages—three groups to include a range from five years old to unlimited age. First and second prizes, too!
VENDORS: Dozens of vendors offer a wide variety of interesting and unique products, great for gifts, and for you. Yummy food items as well. Do your Christmas shopping early this year!
FOOD: Bring your appetite! The lunch is homemade by the Auxiliary. For $10, you get a roasted chicken sandwich with provolone cheese and the unique Marion berry barbeque sauce, all on a brioche bun, a slice of watermelon, and bag of chips. A hot day? There will be snow cones available, too!
LITTLE FIREFIGHTERS OBSTACLE COURSE: Do you have a youngster who might have an interest in firefighting? Let them tackle the Little Firefighter’s Obstacle Course.
RAFFLE: The raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The drawing will take place at 1 pm that day. Make checks payable to Marion Fire Auxiliary. Need not be present to win. Prizes are as follows: first—Rossi .44 Magnum rifle; second—$750 cash; and third—a Montana-themed quilt, with fleece backing to keep you warm on those cold winter nights, machine wash and dry.
