Regretfully, Marion Freedom Day (our community's 4th of July parade-carnival-BBQ that our fire department hosts) is cancelled. A majority of the Marion Fire District's Board of Directors decided to cancel the event, because of COVID-19. Hopefully, conditions will improve enough that we will have the event next year. We will still draw raffle winners' tickets… Continue reading CANCELLED: Marion Freedom Day
We are looking for volunteers from the community-at-large to help and participate in this year's event on Independence Day. We're especially hopeful to get more participants in the parade that can create/pull a decorated float or drive a classic car. There's a committee meeting tomorrow (5 PM on June 3rd) at the main fire station… Continue reading 4th of July Event Committee Meeting

The instructors ask that… Continue reading Free Yoga (or for Donations)
Resolved to be involved in your community? Consider joining us or finding out about volunteer opportunities! Our first meeting in 2020 is this upcoming Monday, January 6th at 10 AM in the community center attached to the main fire station.
We welcome Pirjo Appling to our board of directors. She was elected by acclamation at our December business meeting. Pirjo will serve as the Auxiliary's president—replacing Victoria Williams who chose not to run for reelection. (Thanks, Victoria, for your leadership and service!) Secretary Carolyn Hurst and Treasurer Janine Presson were reelected.
Saturday, June 22, 2019 flea market, lunch, raffle prize drawing.
We will help the firefighters with their fourth annual Easter event. Hope to see you there, too!
